One of my many home improvement dreams is to remove our disgusting, stained, dog hair filled carpeting. While our house is small, it would cost money that we don’t have to install real wood floors. Back in the day, when we had some money 😉 we had a friend help us remodel our kitchen and I purchased real wood flooring that was on sale. Refurbished Secretary Desk
My brother and sister-in-law gave me this old secretary desk and I COULD NOT BELIEVE IT. If you follow me on Instagram, I shared it moons ago. Then, I shared it again recently because I was tagged to share a #trashure. I’ve always seen secretary desks out and about but, if I ever saw them at thrift stores or sales, it always seemed too pricey just for me to want to have a pretty thing. Either that or it was so cheap it meant I’d have to rebuild the entire thing. They knew I’d love it, transform it, and use it. Rummage Sale Finds & A Quick Project
Like most DIYers I love a good deal. In other words, I’m extremely cheap. I never know if I’m going to keep a refurbished piece of furniture or a repurposed thrift store find so when it comes to spending money, I want to make sure I’m not going to lose any if I decide to sell. So, when we walk into a church rummage sale as they’re saying, “fill a bag for $5,” my eyes widen, my stance is strong, and I’ve never moved so fast.
