One of my many home improvement dreams is to remove our disgusting, stained, dog hair filled carpeting. While our house is small, it would cost money that we don’t have to install real wood floors. Back in the day, when we had some money 😉 we had a friend help us remodel our kitchen and I purchased real wood flooring that was on sale. I’m pretty sure I’ve said before I don’t really feel like I have a home decor style. My house, while it does seem to have a look, I just don’t know what the look is. Refurbished Secretary Desk
My brother and sister-in-law gave me this old secretary desk and I COULD NOT BELIEVE IT. If you follow me on Instagram, I shared it moons ago. Then, I shared it again recently because I was tagged to share a #trashure. I’ve always seen secretary desks out and about but, if I ever saw them at thrift stores or sales, it always seemed too pricey just for me to want to have a pretty thing. Either that or it was so cheap it meant I’d have to rebuild the entire thing. They knew I’d love it, transform it, and use it. Repurposed Stool To Gift Wrapping Storage Station
I’ve said before when I’m looking at various potential projects, I take an item, flipping and spinning it, wondering what other uses can come of it. Just like my basket from a foot stool. Years ago, I saw this stool project. I can only kinda sorta sew but, I was getting a headache just thinking about sewing it. I absolutely loved it though and thought how smart it was. Someone flipping over a stool and making it a completely different animal. Then, I’m not sure when, I was reminded again of the gift wrapping station when I saw this stool.
